We are proud to introduce a new eco-friendly product from a Native American, female-owned business — Woodayogo Laundry Detergent Sheets. Founded by Lynne Sokoloff, a member of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribe in Utah, Woodayogo is redefining what it means to do laundry sustainably.

Plastic detergent jugs can take centuries to break down in landfills, but Woodayogo offers a cleaner, smarter alternative. Each lightweight, biodegradable sheet delivers a powerful clean without harsh chemicals or bulky plastic waste. Made with plant-based fragrance extracts and a phosphate-free formula, these sheets are gentle on clothes, skin, and the planet.
Sokoloff created Woodayogo out of a desire to make sustainability both simple and affordable. “I was tired of seeing heavy plastic jugs, wasted water, and harmful ingredients,” she said. “Laundry detergent sheets felt like the perfect solution — light, powerful, and earth-friendly. I wanted to create something that actually makes a difference and helps people shift toward cleaner living without extra effort.”
The name Woodayogo reflects Sokoloff’s love for the outdoors and the freedom of adventure. “I’m an outdoor enthusiast and wanted something safe and environmentally friendly that I could take on all of my outdoor adventures — to the woods, on the go,” she explained. That same spirit of mobility and care for the earth guides every aspect of her company.
Each compact 6” x 3” box weighs just 11 ounces and holds 80 sheets — enough for up to 160 loads. The sheets dissolve easily in hot or cold water and can be used in standard or high-efficiency machines, or for handwashing while camping or traveling. “We use Woodayogo laundry sheets every week at home and on all our travels,” Sokoloff shared. “Whether you’re camping, road-tripping, or just freshening up laundry mid-adventure, our ingredients are safe for groundwater and camper water lines. For handwashing, we simply dissolve one sheet in warm water, rinse, and hang to dry.”
For Sokoloff, sustainability is deeply tied to community. “At Woodayogo, our mission is to make sustainability accessible and community-centered,” she said. “Partnering with SweetGrass Trading aligns with our values — your company represents a rich heritage of craftsmanship, stewardship, and respect for the natural world. By offering our biodegradable laundry sheets here, we hope to support local economies, celebrate cultural traditions of sustainable living, and provide a product that aligns with shared values of caring for the earth.”
SweetGrass Trading Company is honored to partner with Sokoloff and Woodayogo in our shared mission to uplift Native entrepreneurs and promote sustainable living. “We believe sustainability should be easy and empowering,” she said. “Woodayogo was created to make eco-friendly living part of everyday life — no plastic, no waste, just clean clothes and a cleaner planet.”
With Woodayogo Laundry Detergent Sheets, every wash becomes an opportunity to care for your clothes, your community, and the earth.
