Bow and Arrow

At the base of the legendary Sleeping Ute Mountain in Colorado, between Four Corners Monument and Mesa Verde National Park, lies the home of the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe. That’s where Bow & Arrow started in 1962.

The company has been proudly producing high quality products ever since. Bow & Arrow is part of the Ute Mountain Ute Farm & Ranch Enterprise.

The 1987 Colorado Ute Indian Water Rights Settlement Act allowed the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe to build a 40-mile channel from McPhee Reservoir near Dolores, CO. This water allowed the tribe to establish its Ute Mountain Farm & Ranch Enterprise and irrigate 7,600 acres of alfalfa and corn.  The tribe’s farm uses state-of-the-art sustainability practices to proudly produce award-winning NON-GMO Bow & Arrow corn products. SweetGrass is proud to offer whole-grain, non-GMO blue cornmeal.

All of the corn starts in the Tribe’s fields. Bow and Arrow harvests and mills the corn on the reservation, then packages it to send to you and your family.

In addition to alfalfa and corn, Bow and Arrow established a cattle operation in 1962. The operation sees 700 cow/calf pairs every year.

In addition to large sales, Bow & Arrow corn is sold directly to consumers through its website www.bowandarrowbrand.com.
