At Tribal Tea Co., we don’t just provide tea; we offer an experience that resonates with tradition, community, and well-being. As a company deeply rooted in the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska, we understand the significance of rituals, connection, and overall well-being. Guided by our mission to support the physical and mental prosperity of the Native American community, we take pride in our recent donation to the Winnebago Public Health Department, specifically targeting their Behavioral Health Department.
Tea with a Mission
Our mission is clear: with every purchase of our tea, we contribute a portion of our profits to organizations dedicated to enhancing the well-being of the Native American community. Beyond just being a beverage, our teas embody a commitment to encouraging people to slow down, appreciate the present moment, relish life’s simple pleasures, and reconnect with their roots and one another. Through the sale of our teas, we strive to make a lasting impact in our community.
A Meaningful Contribution
On February 1, Tribal Tea Co. proudly donated 10% of its 2023 profits to the Winnebago Public Health Department. This contribution is earmarked to support various community projects and services offered by the Behavioral Health Department. The Behavioral Health Department is a cornerstone of emotional well-being, offering a range of outpatient services to the community. These include crisis intervention, community outreach, case management, psychiatric evaluations, individual and family therapy, and more. Under the leadership of Behavioral Health Director Julie Elbert, LIMHP, LADC, the dedicated team works tirelessly to meet the mental health needs of the community.
Community-Centric Approach
Operating from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and with after-hours support, the team is committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care. Comprised of therapists, a substance abuse counselor, a nurse practitioner, and more, this team works collaboratively to ensure the well-being of the community.
Tea as a Connection
At Tribal Tea Co., we believe in the importance of living in the moment, and what better way to do so than with a cup of tea? Our teas are hand-packed with love right on our reservation, reflecting a longstanding tradition of making and savoring tea in the Native American community.
Tea has been an integral part of Native American traditions for generations. It’s not just a drink; it’s a bridge that connects individuals with their inner selves and cultural roots. Tribal Tea Co. is dedicated to preserving and celebrating this cultural legacy while contributing to the overall well-being of the community.
Your Contribution Matters
By supporting Tribal Tea Co., you’re not just enjoying a delightful cup of tea; you’re part of a movement that nurtures mindfulness, strengthens communities, and supports the mental health of the Native American population. Join us in savoring the moment and making a positive impact—one cup at a time. As we continue our journey, we invite you to be a part of our mission, embracing the richness of tradition and well-being with every sip.
