Ho-Chunk, Inc. is seeking motivated undergraduate, graduate, and JD/law-seeking students for its 2026 summer internship program. Applications close March 6, 2026.
Paid summer positions
The paid internship runs from May 18 to July 31, 2026. Interns will gain hands-on experience, receive mentorship, and be trained by field experts in their respective areas. Participants also attend educational sessions led by senior leadership to learn about the company’s many divisions and operations.

Internship placements are available in:
- Winnebago, Nebraska
- Sioux City, Iowa
- Omaha, Nebraska
- Lincoln, Nebraska
- Fairfax, Virginia
- Detroit Lakes, Minnesota
Program highlights
- Since 2008, 272 students have completed the program.
- About 22% of interns have gone on to become Ho-Chunk, Inc. employees.
- Interns attend a Ho-Chunk, Inc. Board of Directors meeting and a Winnebago Tribal Council meeting.
Eligibility and application
- Candidates must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher at the time of application.
- Candidates must have completed at least one full semester in the current academic year to apply.
- While business students are given preference, applicants from a variety of degree paths are encouraged to apply.
- Eligibility is open to all students who meet the requirements, not just Winnebago Tribal members.
