Sweet Tobacco offers a rich, comforting fragrance with soft notes of cured tobacco leaf and a gentle sweetness. The result is a smooth, slightly smoky aroma that fills your home without being overpowering. It is the kind of scent that feels cozy year-round, whether you are unwinding after a long day, reading a good book, or gathering with family and friends.
For many Indigenous communities, tobacco is one of the sacred medicines. Traditionally, it has been used in prayer, ceremony, and as an offering to express gratitude, respect, and connection. While this candle is inspired by the warm, familiar fragrance of sweet tobacco, it is not intended to represent or replace the sacred use of traditional tobacco. Instead, it offers a comforting scent that reflects the warmth and richness often associated with tobacco.
Like every candle in our core collection, Sweet Tobacco is handcrafted in partnership with Dundee Candle Co. in Omaha, Nebraska. We worked together to develop each fragrance, with the SweetGrass Trading Company team helping select and refine every scent in the collection.
Our SweetGrass Artisan Candles are made with 100% natural soy wax for a clean, long-lasting burn. Each candle is blended with premium fragrance ingredients, essential oils, botanical accents, and finished with a wooden wick that creates a soft, gentle crackle as it burns.
